The US IOOS Summit Declaration
During the week of November 13, 2012 approximately 200 representatives of the US Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) community convened in Herndon, VA to develop a strategy for the next decade. Over four days, the workshop participants reviewed the progress of the last decade and identified opportunities for the coming ten years. The first result of this effort is the US IOOS Summit Declaration which is available below for your review. Many of the Summit attendees have already signed onto this declaration and we invite you to do the same. If you would like to endorse this statement simply enter your name, affiliation (optional), and email address below. If you have questions about the IOOS Summit Declaration please contact Josh Young (jyoung@oceanleadership.org) at the Support Office for the Interagency Ocean Observation Committee.
